Hayley Mealings is the founder of Mealings Architecture Ltd.
Born and raised in Northland, Hayley grew up surrounded by the architectural world through her father, a well-known Architectural Designer in the Far North.  Fascinated by his craft from a young age, she was privileged to begin her journey within his company as an Apprentice in the late 1990s.

Over the years, Hayley has gained essential knowledge and experience across all areas of the industry — from building regulations, construction methods to concept design that balances function, form, lifestyle, and personality. She has also built strong working relationships with consultants across resource planning, engineering, planning, surveying, and other specialist fields, ensuring every project is coordinated, compliant, and delivered with clarity.  Hayley values the process of getting to know each client and collaborating closely to shape ideas that reflect their needs, resulting in satisfying and practical design outcomes.

In 2009, Hayley established her sole-trader business HB Architecture, where she learned the full scope of running an architectural practice.  In 2017, she transitioned to a limited liability company and launched Mealings Architecture Ltd, continuing to build a reputation for reliable, client-focused design.

Mealings Architecture is very much a family-based practice.  Hayley’s husband provides strong support through administration and marketing, and in 2024 their son joined the company as an Architectural Apprentice while beginning his Diploma in Architectural Studies.

Now based in Kerikeri and Auckland, Mealings Architecture proudly services clients throughout the surrounding regions — offering experienced, practical, and personalised architectural design solutions.
